Boo at the Zoo is the largest event of the year at Zoo Boise, and they require help from community volunteers. There are usually 5-10,000 people at the zoo during this weekend, and a newly renovated area of the zoo will open two days prior to this event, so it will likely be even busier. Volunteers will be assigned to help with candy stations, costume contests, costumed characters, face painting, and more.

Due to the extremely limited parking, please carpool or get dropped off if possible. If you will need to park, plan an additional 15 minutes to find parking.

It will likely be cold, so dress in layers. All zoo volunteers are required to wear close toed shoes and avoid large logos on clothing.

Please do not sign up unless you are certain you will show up. We are only allowed 10 slots, and filling a slot but no showing up is actively taking the opportunity away from people in our chapter or other community service groups.

Please report to Gate 3 at the back of the zoo (pictured below) punctually at 9. Once check-in is finished and the gate closes, you will not be allowed in.
