Ag Mechanics CDE- Chapter Run-Off

If you are interested in trying out to be on this year's team for District Competition held on Dec. 4th, reach out to Mr. D. Heikkila for details. Each individual is allowed to try out for two areas during the run-off. Top individual will be selected within each area. Team will consist of 6 individuals. Areas include the following:

SMAW/GMAW- Weld List (3 Welds w/SMAW, 1 Weld w/GMAW)

• E6011, V-Butt weld for tensile pull
• E7018, Overhead Fillet
• E6011, Vertical Up Fillet
• E7018, Horizontal Fillet
• GMAW Horizontal Fillet
• GMAW Vertical down Fillet, single pass, welded on 1/8 plate
• E6013, Flat Lap
• E6010, Pipe (1 1/2 schedule 40) to Plate (1/4") single pass 

GTAW/Oxy-Acetylene- Weld List (2 Welds w/GTAW, 2 Welds w/Oxy-Acetylene, 1 Cut w/Oxy-Acetylene)

• GTAW, flat butt weld (1/8” metal)
• GTAW, horizontal fillet weld (1/8” metal)
• Oxy-Acetylene, Lap fusion weld
• Oxy-Acetylene, Fillet fusion weld
• Oxy-Acetylene, Lap braze weld
• Oxy-Acetylene, Fillet braze weld
• Pattern cut (The total length of all cuts in the pattern may not be more than 8 inches.)
