  12/14/2021  - Idaho Food Bank Volunteering

Join us in volunteering with the Idaho Food Bank again after school on Tuesday, December 14th!

We have an opening for 12 people (Miss Russell + 11 members).  Students need to have their own transportation to and from this event.  Miss Russell will get you excused early from your 4B class so you can get there by 3 pm.  Talk to your rides about getting picked up from school early, please.

Face masks are required by all attending and must be properly worn. Long pants and closed toe/heel shoes are required - wear 'work clothes'.  Tie long hair back.  No jewelry is allowed to be worn.

Students will need to download, print, fill out, have a parent/guardian sign, and bring a waiver (found in portfolio) with them on the 14th if they have NOT already volunteered in October.

Miss Russell will be there to supervise.

This will be a fundraiser for FFA where some of the money we raise will benefit the State FFA Convention, along with other activities and programs. It will also promote dairy and spread the word to other locations and people.

If you wish to help with Produce Sales this year, the following link is where you can sign-up for shifts. Shifts are done through Bookings (Same as Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences). 

 

  1. There is a limit of 3 members working during each shift.
  2. Produce Sales shifts will go from Dec. 8th-15th.
  3. For Morning & Afternoon Shifts, you need to sign-up on your  REMOTE DAYS.
    1. Morning Shift: 7:30 am - 11:30 pm
    2. Afternoon Shift: 11:00 am -3:00 pm
    3. Evening Shift: 2:45 pm- 5:45 pm
    4. Saturday Dec. 12th ONLY- Morning Shift: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
    5. Sunday Dec. 13th, No Shifts 
  4. Please bring your laptops along, as time is available, you can work on school assignments and join into your class meetings on TEAMS. 
  5. Masks and gloves (gloves will be provided on site) will be required to be worn at all times.
  6. Final pick-up date for  Pre-Ordered produce will be Dec. 15th.
  7. Majority of the Donation Boxes, will be packed Dec. 14th, during the Chapter Meeting.

Have a pancake breakfast with the community and alumni as attendees and FFA members as workers. This is a complimentary breakfast that the Meridian FFA organizes and puts together at the Meridian Career Technical Center. Where the members serve a delicious breakfast consisting of pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage, and coffee.
